Civil War

The American Civil War was an important event in U.S history. The war started on 1861 and finished in 1865. During the Civil War 620,000 people were killed in the battle and 50,000 survived. This Civil War lasted for about 4 years. The American Civil War was between the States. It started between Confederacy, and comprising the eleven Southern slave states. And the Union was trying to do the same to the rest of the free states. But the major reason was among them was the decision of the eleven slave states to with draw or secede from the Union. The main reason for this war happening was because of slavery. The money was made from the cotton fields. The farmers had labors work in the cotton fields. They were given accommodation and food for their work.

Friday

Well I started my internship at the Boys & Girls Club. The first day I was a little nervous because It's the first job I've ever had. They gave me office aid in the teen center. Its not something I would have picked, because I have to stay in the circle at all times to guard the money and kids belongings. I have to make sure I'm checking every ones ID number to be sure that they're a member to the club, and to answer phone calls. So anyways on my first day I pretty much got all of what I had to do all down in my head. I did good this first week for my first time ever working, but better then any of the other staff. The kids are starting to really like me to and wanting me to stay and work there as a real job.

This I Believe

My belief in love is that its everywhere you go. Even if you don't feel it, its always there. Love is one of the main reasons why we are here today. We were born to find what's special in life and love would be one of them . I believe love is the main key through our life. It has the power do most anything you desire. When you've got love in your life, things start to change, and you see life differently around you. You will notice a big change in your attitude and what your attracting in your daily life activities. You appreciate things you never used to appreciate before and your spirit grows bigger. True love is hard to find because you can never be 100% sure if it is real. It can act like a demon sometimes and change its appearance and manipulate you into something. Love is something you shouldn't play with; its something you should put most of your effort in. Its something we all need in this world.

One time on a weekend and I was getting ready to go out for the day. So my friend Thammer called as usual and so we met up at the mall. Now it's a little bit different normally in our country of Kuwait because I'm only allowed to go out on weekends and only to the mall. In my country girls are put down lower than the guys so when you go out around in Kuwait you will notice a lot more males than females out and about. Well anyways, as I met up with him at the mall we went to our kick it spot, Garage Cafe, where we meet up with our big group of people. This day none of people that I recognized where there so I was a little uncomfortable, and very quiet. He was sitting with me talking about random things. Then some contacts that he knew came up just to talk and what not. He said hello to them but didn't go right to them. He stood right next to me where we were talking and instead of talking with them, he translated for me so I could understand what they were saying, because I'm not very good with Arabic. But you see in my country a guy shouldn't treat a women that way, and put her above the guy. I was shocked at this move he did for me, because a long time ago we used to hate each other really bad. There are a lot of other stories I could write but this one meant a lot to me! It was one of the kindest things a person has ever done for me,

Thammer is one of the people I respect a lot in my life and he is my best friend. He taught me how love works. He showed me how you should be treated and how you shouldn't be treated. He showed me how to talk to people in a good polite manner. Thammer was so good to me! Unlike a lot of other people, including my family. He was there for me whenever I needed him, and he showed me how to take care of myself in daily life situations. He showed me a lot of love that I needed, and that helped me a lot and it means a lot in my life. Now I understand how love works, and how to respect myself and others.

Belief in love is very important because its the main source we use to get through life. When your believing in something you are attracting it to your life. Most people don't know the power of belief, but whatever you truly believe in will come to you. You see, your thoughts on things becomes what you believe. When you believe that your never going to have love then your not going to get it because your making yourself believe that. But if you believe that you already have it or you will have love in your life then it will happen. Belief is strong and has so much power that it takes control over things, so you have to be careful and believe in positive things.

Life is a very important journey that we all take and its up to us to keep on living and making more lives and memories so we can pass it on to others. What we need mostly in life today is love and that's what creates joy, peace, and happiness. Most people rely on money to be happy but what they don't notice is that it comes and always goes, but love stays with you no matter what. People come and go but that love that they give stays with you. But in the end it always comes down to belief and your feelings, because your mind is in control and only you have the control over what comes into your life.

I believe in a lot of things, but the three main things I believe in is love, respect, and spirits.
Love is everywhere, its very hard to find real true love because you can never really know a person. People are like demons they change the form all the time so you could never know who your looking at. Some people give as much as they can to relate to there loved ones but you can only know them that much. Love is all I want in this world, and its all we need to succeed in our daily life. Respect is a big thing I believe in, not a lot of people show it these days and this is a disappointment to me and others as well. I like being treated like I'm someone important because we all are. I don't like being treated like dirt and most people don't.

Well, its summer already. I cant believe this year is already almost over. Seems like I just got here from Kuwait. I'm debating whether if I should go back for a visit. I'm really sick of Salem! There's not to much to do here and basically it feels like your living the same day over and over again. I've been thinking a lot of where I want to settle down at, but I'm having a hard time with that. I can't make up my mind, but I have to think fast and wise because my mother is leaving soon. That means I need to be focusing real hard until I get the hang of living on my own.

Freedom means a lot to me because where I was raised I never got any freedom. My country is very strict. I got my freedom when I moved to America. I believe freedom is a right, its meant for everybody. But I also believe that it is a privilege for us now because of how the world is turning out now. There is a lot of crimes and disrespect going on now a days, so the laws are becoming a lot more strict and because of this everyone is being watched a lot more. Freedom comes with a lot of responsibility and maturity.
